学院现有护理学专业核心师资46人，其中高级职称31名，博士10名。12名护理教师为中华医学会、中华护理学会专业委员会副主任委员、学组副组长，15位护理教师担任省级护理专业委员会主任、副主任委员。海内外知名客座、讲座教授40位，其中有1位是“国际南丁格尔奖章”获得者，6位为美国护理科学院院士。新莆京8883平台拥有4个校直属附属医院、8个校外教学医院和4个全国示范社区卫生服务中心作为实践教学基地，均为江、浙、沪地区实力雄厚的三级甲等医院和社区示范中心，总开放床位20000余张，新莆京8883平台实力雄厚。

The School has 46 core faculty members, of whom 31 have senior titles, 10 have doctoral degrees, 12 are deputy directors or division deputies of specialty committees in Chinese Medical Association and Chinese Nursing Association; 15 are directors or deputy directors of specialty committees in Jiangsu Nursing Association. Among its 40 visiting professors, one has been awarded the “Florence Nightingale Medal” and six are Fellows of American Academy of Nursing (FAANs). The School boasts high-quality teaching resources and a strong faculty team: it has 4 hospitals directly affiliated to the University, 8 off-campus teaching hospitals and 4 national demonstration community health service centers as clinical placement sites, all of which are highly competitive first-class hospitals or community health centers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai and have over 20,000 beds in total.

Demonstration of Humanistic Care

学院人才培养具有卓越化、国际化特色，以融入全生命周期的护理人文关怀及心血管护理、急危重症救治、慢病护理和老年长期照护作为专业特色。

The School features an excellence-oriented and globalized education with due emphasis on humanistic care, cardiovascular nursing, acute and critical care, chronic disease management, and long-term elderly care, integrated into the human life cycle.

学院坚持“质量兴院，人才强院，创新活院，特色办院”的办学理念，创新了以培养适应护理学科发展需要的“厚理论、硬技术、善关怀、强胜任”的卓越护理人才目标，开设“早期临床体验”、“博习讲堂”、“名著赏析”、“人文素质积分卡”、“朗读志愿者”、荷兰、慈济“寒暑期海外夏令营”等课外活动课程，培养具有高级护理实践胜任力和人文情怀的温情护士。还为本科生配备由学院资深教师、临床护理专家和优秀研究生担任的双导师。近年来还组织学生参加多途径的职业综合技能大赛，获得苏南片区CPR大赛一等奖及国家级团体竞赛三等奖。

Adhering to the guidelines of “prospering through quality, developing through talents, progressing through innovation, constructing through specialization”, the School aims to cultivate excellent nursing talents with “a solid theoretical foundation, adept skills, humanistic care concept, and strong competence” to meet the developmental needs of the nursing discipline. It has initiated extracurricular activities such as Early Clinical Placement, Boxi Lecture Series, Appreciation of Classics, Point Card for Humanistic Quality Cultivation Activities, Voluntary Readers, and Overseas Summer/Winter Camp to Taiwan/Holland to cultivate caring nurses with competence for advanced nursing practice and a humanistic touch. Also, it assigns senior lecturers, clinical nurse specialists and top postgraduates to be the mentors of undergraduates. In recent years, students have participated in multiple professional comprehensive skills competitions, and won the First Prize in the CPR Competition of South Jiangsu and the Third Prize in the National Competition.

多途径与国内外著名院校的合作交流，每年选派优秀本科生参加德国、荷兰、中国台湾、香港等境外合作院校学习交流项目，并通过社会资助形式为学生提供赴美国、英国、加拿大、澳大利亚、德国、日本、马耳他等护理教育前百强的国家进行有资助的学历教育和研修交流的机会。

The School values exchange and cooperation with prestigious colleges and universities both home and abroad. Each year, it selects and sends students of outstanding performance to attend various exchange programs organized by partner colleges and universities in Germany, Holland, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Also, students are provided with opportunities for funded academic education and exchanges in US, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, Japan, Malta and other countries which rank Top 100 in nursing education globally.

The employment rate of the School’s previous graduates is as high as 100% and the majority of them are employed by institutes of health administration or education as well as first-class hospitals in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai which are highly competitive in healthcare, teaching and research and provide them with opportunities to further studies in prestigious universities abroad. So far, the School has turned out a considerable number of elite nurses for society.
